Yup. I kinda want a card catalog. Remember them from school before Google had the answer to everything? We actually had to look up where to find the book, go find the book and read words on a page to get the answer to something. Imagine how fast we could have finished those reports! I haven’t been in a library for quite some time. Well, ten years to be exact. Do they even still have card catalogs?

How amazing and perfect would one be in a craft room/office for storage? All those drawers and space and the little area for labeling! How did I not think of this ages ago? Although it took some time I love how everything has its exact place on this one from Krimey Kreations

I honestly don’t mind if mine is wood or metal. It would probably require some cleaning up and it would look best painted white in my space. Love how clean this white one looks.
What do you think of card catalogs for storage? I could really see them anywhere in a home. A office/craft space is obvious but what about a kids room for toys and odds and ends, for jewelry, a living space for every day storage and repurposed as an entertainment center, I really could keep going.
This might be my obsessive organizing brain or the fact that I pretty much grew up in my teacher momma’s school but I really think they are great for organization. I am working on purging down my craft supply and decrapifying my space and I’m trying to figure out the best way to organize all those little pieces. A card catalog just seems perfect.
Now, just to find one!
